I've gotten a job. It is minimum wage, but worth every dollar. Yesterday a man and his son came up to me asking for help. The son was not older than six and bright-eyed, but the man looked aged beyond his years. Terrible markings distorted his features, and he walked with a crutch. His face broke out in sweet smile when I gave his son a free teddy bear.
That's so sweet... you made somebody happy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwe... that sounds like a heavenly experience. And congrats on the job! I am still on the market for one...
ReplyDeleteAbout sky diving... It feels like being in front of a really really powerful fan! ha ha. It's odd because you can't feel the gravity so much but you can hardly breath because of how much air you are flying past plummeting to the ground. So, it's definitely not like a roller-coaster or anything, it was more pleasant and relaxing being up there and seeing everything. Sounds odd.... but true for me!

Thanks for checking out my blog!
I think I give out free things way more than I should. The boss says its okay every once and awhile, but I just can't help it sometimes. My heart melts at every hopeful, indecisive child without many tickets. (;
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasure, Rachel! I've always wanted to go sky-diving. I'm going bungee-jumping soon, though, on a class trip where Mother can`t stop me. :3
Congrats on the job! It's wonderful to get a job in these hard times!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And a job I love at that.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely blog! I'm a new follower :)
ReplyDeleteHi there! I think that's a nice story. You made someone happy - that's great!
ReplyDeleteOh, you both are so kind! You have no idea how much such thoughtful words mean to me. <3
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than doing what you love, other than perhaps sharing it with others!
ReplyDeleteThe world is your oyster, darling.
You're so inspiring, Mademoiselle N.D. :3
